KANSYS: a CAD tool for analog circuit synthesis

and easily expandable for higher level synthesis. 2. KANSYS analog synthesis framework A CAD tool for the synthesis of analog circuits has been developed. The approach adopted is top down, knowledge intensive hierarchical design. A flattened view of the design is not however lost sight of and design knowledge over various levels of hierarchy is also used to achieve desimble performance. Practical sized transistor circuit designs are synthesized for CMOS OPAMPS and some of the functional circuits fmm performance and process specifications. The inputs to the KANSYS synthesis framework are circuit performance and process specifications and the output is a sized transistor level design. The design produced by KANSYS can be further refined by using conventional circuit optimization tools[5].
